Jesse Lloyd Baker

Jesse Lloyd Baker was born in Summitt, New Jersey, on July 21, 1933.

He was admitted to the Florida Conference on trial and ordained a deacon in 1960 and was ordained an elder and received into full connection in 1963. He served the following churches: Alturas, 1962-64; Sopchoppy, 1964-66; Miami, Christ, 1966-71; Jasper, 1971-75; Bethel, Tallahassee, 1975-78; North Shore, Jacksonville, 1978-83; Palm Bay, 1983-88; Pine Hills, Orlando, 1988-92; Glynlea Grace, Jacksonville, 1992-95; and Silver Palm, Homestead, 1995-98. He retired in 1998.

Jesse served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed cruises, travel, crossword puzzles, Kairos Ministry, EMMAUS, and teaching the word of God and the power of forgiveness.

He passed away on June 2, 2018. A celebration of life service was held on June 8, 2018, at Lohman Funeral Home in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Jesse was predeceased by his wife Fay and his daughter Vera. He was truly loved by his sons Bert and Ken, his family, and most everyone he came across.
